Waco, TX - Sheriff's Department officers forming new group out of frustration with old officers' association

They all work for McLennan County Sheriff Larry Lynch but have very different concepts about how a peace officers association should be run. Less than a week after a statewide police union accused Lynch of “illegal union busting,” a second association is forming because its new members say they are tired of the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas’s “slash-and-burn propaganda style.” “We are very disappointed in the existing association, so we decided to start our own association,” said Deputy Bull Barrow.
