"LONGMONT — The Longmont Fraternal Order of Police contributed $11,935.36.
The Longmont Professional Firefighters’ Association donated $2,050.
That makes the two employee organizations the biggest donors in the campaign to win collective bargaining power for police and fire employees in November.
Final campaign-finance reports from November’s election were due to the city clerk’s office Thursday.
The FOP and the LPFA donated the money to Public Safety Employees in Support of 2A, the political issue committee that police and fire employees formed."
