SLO, CA budget revised with a slam at binding arbitration

SLO budget revised with a slam at binding arbitration - Local - San Luis Obispo:

The San Luis Obispo City Council filled a $4.8 million budget shortfall on Tuesday night, but not before reiterating its dislike of a binding arbitration agreement with police that forced the emergency meeting.

The council approved a budget-balancing plan devised by staff that will take the city to December, when the council will begin planning a two-year budget. As a symbolic gesture,

the council voted to rescind a monthly raise of $60 for itself that was due to take effect in January. The council’s pay will remain at $1,000 per month."
