Community briefly: Council to take up police pay raise | ShreveportTimes | The Times:
Police pay raise on council agenda
Police pay raises again are on the Shreveport City Council's agenda this week. The body meets at 3 p.m. today for its regular work session.
A vote on the pay raises has been postponed since August. If passed, base salaries would increase from $33,000 to $36,000 a year and cost the city about $1.3 million.
Other money-related items on the agenda include increasing the cost to dump trash at the city landfill and amending this year's budgets."
